WRITING
In my literary works, I explore the existential and relational tragedies of human experience, as well as emotional and psychological violence. The tension between the subconscious and everyday life, between reality and illusion, is central to my practice. Boundaries between the subconscious and the conscious, between humans and animals, become blurred. I often weave universal themes together with personal stories, while making queer lives visible as subjects of literature.
Fluent in English, Turkish, German, and Arabic, I integrate these languages into my works to create multidimensional, layered narratives. Mythological stories are a frequent source of inspiration to me.
In my journalistic work, I focus on ecology and human rights as central themes. I approach the political situation in Turkey with a critical perspective, not only toward Turkey itself, but also toward the global system and its West-centric worldview.
